Bitter NFC West rivals the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks walked into Levi’s Stadium on Thanksgiving night with identical 7-4 records and were each looking to take sole possession of the division behind the Arizona Cardinals with a win.

When all was said and done on the bay Thursday night, that team was the Seahawks, who came away with the 19-3 victory.

Richard Sherman would make his presence felt early in this one in the first quarter, intercepting 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Not long after that, Seattle got the scoring started, as Russell Wilson would hit Robert Turbin with a 13-yard scoring strike just as the opening period was coming to a close.

From there, Steven Hauschka would hit through field goals from 21 and 36 yards out, to give the defending Super Bowl champs a commanding 13-0 lead heading into the half.

Of course, though, these two just had to get into some sort of scrum, and near the end of the first half, we got that, courtesy of Marshawn Lynch and Chris Culliver.

About halfway through the third quarter Hauschka would get back to work with his leg, nailing through a 35-yard field goal to further the lead to 16-0.

Late in the third quarter, the 49ers would finally get on the scoreboard with a 40-yard field goal from Phil Dawson, giving them some sort of a glimmer of hope at the time.

With under 10 minutes to go in the fourth quarter after Hauschka had come through with three more points, pushing the lead to 19-3, the 49ers were threatening. But, there’s that Sherman guy again.

That was Sherman’s second interception of the night, which of course led to this, naturally:

This loss for the 49ers on Thursday night snaps their three-game winning streak. Colin Kaepernick and the entire 49ers offense as as whole were shut down by the Seahawks. Kaepernick finished the game with just 121 yards with no touchdowns and two picks, while the entire offense ended up tallying just 164 yards of total offense.

With the win, Russell Wilson –who finished with 236 yards and one score– and the Seahawks move to 8-4 on the season and will take on the Eagles on Dec. 7. San Francisco drops to 7-5 and will face off with the Raiders next.
