The Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves are so bad that their game had to be restarted after both teams went the wrong direction.

This is kind of awesome, 100 percent hilarious and downright embarassing all at the same time.

More from Minnesota Timberwolves

No one is questioning the fact that the Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves are among the two worst teams in the NBA, but we really had no idea just how bad they were until Wednesday night.

In what is a rarity among professionals, the 76ers and Timberwolves had to restart their game after the teams went towards the wrong hoop.

Seriously.

The Minnesota Timberwolves won the tip, attacked the wrong basket, and the 76ers had no clue so they went ahead and defended anyways. Eventually, after Henry Sims drew a foul and made his way towards the foul line, the referees realized the teams were going the wrong direction.

Because of the mistake, the game had to be restarted.

I guess that is what happens when you have a winless team searching for the worst start in NBA history and the worst team currently in the Western Conference going head-to-head.

You can check out video of the mistake below:

Keep it up, 76ers and ‘Wolves.
