Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett sat out of practice on Wednesday, but believes he will be ready to go for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.

Justin Forsett was one of three offensive starters that sat out of practice for the Ravens on Wednesday. Wide receiver Torrey Smith and center Jeremy Zuttah were the other two, according to a story by Pro Football Talk. Forsett and Smith have knee injuries, while Zuttah is dealing with an ankle issue. The Ravens face a pivotal game on Sunday on the road against the Dolphins. Baltimore is behind three teams for a Wild Card spot, while the Dolphins are currently sitting on that last spot based on tiebreaker scenarios.

According to details shared with reporters, Forsett said he was resting and expected to be available on Sunday.

"“Just resting up – regular soreness, especially coming into December, just trying to take care of the body and take care of the little nicks and knacks I’ve gotten over the course of the year,” Forsett said."

Forsett has emerged as not only the Ravens lead back after the release of Ray Rice, but one of the best running backs in the league. He passed the 1,000 yard mark in the Ravens loss against the Chargers last Sunday, and is one of only four backs in the league with over 1,000 yards. He’s only been on the injury report one other time in 2014, and that was five weeks ago with an ankle injury. He played in the game following that injury.

As for Smith, coach John Harbaugh said Smith was getting better. Smith has never missed a game in his four seasons in the league.
