It’s that time of the week again for FanSided’s Top 20 NBA Player Power Rankings!

I’d just like to apologize for leaving Tony Parker out of the power rankings. After the week he had, with point totals of 28, 22, 21, and 27, Parker deserved a spot in the Top 20. For that, I’m sorry.

It’s tricky with Parker, and a lot of players in the league, because it’s hard to make a case for them statistically at times. Parker is a legitimate top five point guard in the league, and if not for Steph Curry and Chris Paul, he’s probably the best point guard in the league.

With the player power rankings, however, at least with my player power rankings, it varies week-to-week based on performance over the last week.

With so many minute fluctuations with Parker and tons of other players, it’s so hard to rank them because their statistics don’t compare very well with other players with bigger roles.

It’s stupid, but that’s the main problem with power rankings and their arbitrary-ness. Yes, I did just throw a “-ness” on a word that it’s not supposed to have it. And, no, I don’t care.

In that way, I’m like Bebe Nogueira: Long hair, don’t care, for life.

Unfortunately, Bebe is not on the Top 20 NBA Player Power Rankings this week, but Kevin Durant is.

Let’s start with him!
