The Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints got into a fight early in their game on NFL Sunday.

More from Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints are bitter NFC South rivals. Last season they fought for the NFC South Crown and had some of the NFC’s best records.

This season they’re both considerably worse, as is the division overall. The Panthers are running away with the game though early on, and after a touchdown in the first quarter, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton did his Superman celebration towards some Panthers.

The Saints were clearly and understandably upset with it, and a brawl was sparked. Newton was literally inches away from a Saints player when he threw the imaginary cape back, then he turned to do the shirt ripping celebration and got shoved in the back before all bedlam broke out.

Carolina tight end Brandon Williams was the lone player ejected.
