The Chicago Bears are engulfed in turmoil, particularly dealing with an inner-organization struggle with offensive coordinator blasting quarterback Jay Cutler to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
Despite their losing and disappointing season, the Bears faithful are still buying jerseys at an incredible rate. According to the Jersey Report, which tracks the sales of NFL jerseys at DICK’s Sporting Goods stores around the nation and online, the Bears are the second highest selling team in the NFL since the 2014 NFL draft.
The only team outselling the Bears are the Cleveland Browns, led by rookie Johnny Manziel.
The Bears have two players in the top ten as well, with wide receiver Brandon Marshall coming in at No. 5 and quarterback Jay Cutler coming in at No. 6. By comparison, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the No. 23 selling player in the NFL and the No. 12 selling quarterback.
Running back Matt Forte has the No. 20 selling jersey in the league, giving the Bears a grand total of three players amongst the top 20 selling jerseys in the league.
Give the Bears fans for credit standing by their team during a down season.
