It’s been a rough week for the Chicago Bears coaching staff, namely offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer who tossed quarterback Jay Cutler under the bus by suggesting the team regretted handing him his mega contract.
Of course, Kromer didn’t say anything that most weren’t thinking, but as a member of the Chicago Bears organization, you simply don’t do that.
That’s something former Bears player Dan Hampton, who played under Mike Ditka is aware of and he believes the coaching staff should be punshied via waterboarding.
Wait, say what?
Yep, the Hall of Fame talent who spends time analyzing the Bears on a local Windy City television station jokingly (I’m hoping) suggested the way to punish the Chicago Bears coaching staff for another down season is to torture them with waterboarding.
Of course, Hampton is known to go on some rather unique and slightly odd rants though this one was a bit over the top and could get him in a bit of trouble. It was likely just a moment where he didn’t think before uttering his words though likely has a bit of regret now after saying such on live television, even though he was simply trolling the Bears staff after yet another sub par year.
You may recall this isn’t the first time Dan Hampton has found himself in hot water over a less than appropriate comment as he previously attempted to use a Hurricane Katrina metaphor which didn’t go over well.
Perhaps he’s best served breaking down the game film moving forward because his shoe keeps getting stuffed in his mouth.
