The Los Angeles Kings Stadium Series Jerseys are pretty much what we expected… sadly

I have so many problems with the Stadium Series jerseys this season.

First. Why did the Los Angeles Kings and the San Jose Sharks get together and plan matching Stadium Series looks? Someone already suggested that they look like members of Star Trek together. This isn’t wrong, which also highlights how terrible everything about this is.

Second, why did both teams insist on going with the neapolitan ice cream theme this year? It’s never a good look. I know that we wanted to go with something that wasn’t the weird, spacesuit-ish silver of last year’s Kings jerseys, but what is this?

Also, why do they match? I have to ask it again.

The jersey designs were both leaked early this year, although I was one of the masses who were praying for the leaks to be a sham. They weren’t, and now people are going to one day buy these on purpose as a throwback.

At least they didn’t go with the Burger King crown. Thank you, Los Angeles, for giving me this one small consolation.
