7) AFC South

The AFC South was guaranteed one victory this week… and that is exactly what they emerged with. Yes, the Indianapolis Colts appear to be good at football, with a 10-4 record after edging the second-place Texans, but the bottom of the division is so ugly that it’s amazing to see the group avoiding the basement.

Tennessee and Jacksonville are making performance art out of losing at this point, at 2-12 respectively, and the Titans now boast the longest losing streak in the NFL with eight straight losses. The presence of the Colts and, to a certain respect, the Texans keep the AFC South afloat to some level, but no one has a worse bottom half than this group.

I suppose there should be real debate about whether the incompetence of Tennessee and Jacksonville outweighs the sheer disaster of the NFC South, but Andrew Luck and J.J. Watt still exist. There you go.
