Blackberry Brings Back Original Design
The once popular mobile phone company is looking to make a comeback by bringing back the original design of their first phone.
With stocks for Blackberry having fallen over the recent years with the smart phone craze taking off, Blackberry is going to back to their roots with their new phone the Blackberry Classic.
To be able to compete with heavyweights such as Apple and Android, Blackberry had to introduce something different.
The Blackberry Classic brings back the classic hardware navigation buttons and the keypad that hardcore fans live by. The Blackberry 10 wasn’t successful enough to put them back on the map so this is perhaps their last stand. To be able to survive in this market, changes had to be made to sway the consumer back to Blackberry.
It’s the combination of new and old, as the phone is a smart phone with a keyboard and navigational buttons. It has a bigger screen, faster web browsing, and longer battery life which will no doubt appeal to consumers.
With Apple and Anroid dominating the phone market, Blackberry has to find a way to break through. Their attempt at hybrid phone is intriguing and perhaps can offer something consumers cannot get anywhere else. Whether people are able to think past Apple or Android is another story.
