Derek Carr Endorses Tony Sparano As Raiders Head Coach
By Scott Allen
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr says he supports current interim coach Tony Sparano for the full-time gig
Jim Harbaugh to the Oakland Raiders? It could happen, although the embattled San Francisco 49ers head coach is rumored to be bolting the NFL for the Michigan Wolverines, or at least considering the move. That didn’t stop Raiders quarterback Derek Carr from putting all his support behind current interim coach Tony Sparano.

Per ProFootballTalk.com via the Bay Area News Group, Carr was not shy about his feelings about the Raiders keeping Sparano. Why wouldn’t he want to keep him? Carr has seemed to have gotten along well and Carr actually hasn’t had a half-bad season in his rookie year.
"Yeah, we love him. He’s our leader. Absolutely. We love him. Obviously, those decisions are going to happen, and we have no control in that. Those decisions will be made, and whoever is here is who we’ll play for"
Oakland has won just two games under Sparano since he took over for Dennis Allen. The Raiders, with the exception of a game or two, have seemed to give it their all for him as he attempts to keep his job.
Unfortunately in the end I don’t believe it will be enough. You could probably have all 53 men on the roster publicly support Sparano and it probably doesn’t help keep his job. The Raiders will be looking to make a big splash. If not Harbaugh, then they will be looking for another big name.
