Jaguars’ Sen’Derrick Marks Could Make $600K Bonus Thursday
By Cory Buck
Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks stands to earn a $600,000 bonus if he can just get a half sack in the team’s Thursday night game.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are once again reduced to playing for respect, but there’s at least one player who stands to make a pretty penny if he can excel for at least one play in the team’s Thursday night game against the Tennessee Titans.

As it stands, defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks is just a half of a sack away from landing more than a half million dollars per a contract clause signed last year.
“Once the game starts, I don’t think about it,’’ Marks said per the Florida Times-Union. ”If it happens, it happens. If it don’t it don’t.’’
Marks stands to make $600,000 if he can hit the 8-sack mark on the season. He currently sits with 7.5 sacks, which exceeds his five-year career total entering the 2014 season.
Fortunately, Marks and the Jaguars defense get the Titans, who rank fifth in the NFL with 42 sacks allowed. Jacksonville tallied three sacks in the team’s last meeting, so there should be ample opportunity for Marks to get his money. Just don’t expect him to get selfish about it.
“I won’t do that to my guys,’’ he said. “I play within the scheme. Playing within the scheme has gotten me to this point so I won’t abandon the scheme just to be selfish.’’
