13. 35. 21. 52. Final

The Tennessee Titans started out their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars looking much better than a 2-12 team, but in the end were done in by their own shoddy defense. The Titans jumped out to a 10-0 lead on the strength of Charlie Whitehurst, who finished the game with an impressive 102.9 QB rating.

Whitehurst finished 24-for-35, throwing for 287 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. Kendall Wright led the receiving corp with 4 snags for 73 yards while Leon Washington cashed in on the lone TD for the Titans with 7 catches for 63 yards and the TD.

In the end though it was the Titans defense that did them in, giving up a big plays to Jordan Todman on a 62-yard TD run and later Toby Gerhart, who struck paydirt from the 1 yard line. Jaguars rookie QB Blake Bortles was decent, but the Jaguars had him on what seemed to be a short leash with a meager 4.4 yard average. Bortles finished the game with only 115 yards and a TD. Fellow rookie WR Marqise Lee topped the Jaguars WRs with 4 snags for 65 yards.

Shockingly there were no turnovers in what turned out to be a mildly exciting game considering it was two 2-12 teams who could have had more to gain by losing as opposed to winning. Asa result, the Titans now have the leg up on what some have pegged as the Suck For A Duck campaign in the NFL Draft as they wait on what happens to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game this Sunday.
