The San Francisco 49ers will not make the playoffs this year and Jim Harbaugh is likely out as head coach, which prompted some Michigan Wolverine fans to show up with signs to try and woo him.

With the San Francisco 49ers out of the postseason and Jim Harbaugh likely out of a job at the end of the season, the Michigan Wolverines are increasing their push to try and land him as their next head coach. Brady Hoke didn’t cut it with Michigan and the program is looking for a guy who can light a fire under the team that fans have been waiting to see.

Harbaugh is a natural choice for the job for a number of reasons, not the least of which is he’s a Michigan grad who played quarterback for the Wolverines back in the 1980s. Harbaugh’s also one of the most successful coaches working today, as he’s taken the 49ers from being a lowly bottom feeding team to three time NFC finalists and one-time Super Bowl runner-ups under his command.

Unsurprisingly, some Michigan fans attended the 49ers game on Saturday night and brought with them some clever signs to try and lure Harbaugh away from the NFL and out to Ann Arbor in 2015.

Emphasis on the ‘M’ — how original.

In all seriousness though, Harbaugh is legitimately torn between staying in the NFL or hitting the college grind like he used to back in his days in Palo Alto.

He’s the type of fiery dude that the Wolverines need, and it’s looking like the match made in heaven will more than likely happen given the right amount of time — and money.
