By Evan Massey
What five reasons can be given to prove that the Dallas Cowboys are legitimate Super Bowl contenders?
The Dallas Cowboys took a major step to prove themselves this season, blowing out the Indianapolis Colts by a final score of 42-7. It wasn’t expected to be that much of a lopsided win for the Cowboys, but they proved that they are legitimate contenders with the playoffs coming up quickly.
Tony Romo has been playing well, and he has seen all of his offense rally around him and become a high-powered unit. Their defense certainly hasn’t been good, but it has been better than it was last season. Dallas still has some holes that they need to fill to prove themselves to their remaining critics, but they certainly look like a complete football team that has played consistent football for the most part.
At this point in time the road to the Super Bowl in the NFC isn’t going to be easy. The Cowboys are going to have to go through teams like the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, and Detroit Lions. Either way, they are still a fairly complete team that has proven themselves against high level competition all season long.
