Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo appreciates the Pro Bowl honor, but he is focused on a championship.

The Dallas Cowboys have clinched the NFC East crown and are headed to the playoffs for the first time in years. They’re not content with just a winning record and Pro Bowl berths.

“You’re just so focused on trying to win a championship right now,’’ quarterback Tony Romo said, via the Dallas Morning News. “It’s obviously an honor anytime your peers and coaches and fans vote for you. Something like
that it’s always a very humbling feeling.

“At the same time, I think we all know what our goals are. Hopefully none of us are playing in that football game and we’re all playing in Arizona for the championship.

“I think that’s what our minds are focused on right now. It’s just getting ready for the second part of the season.’’

The Cowboys can’t be content with Pro Bowl nods if they’re going to contend, they need to keep that edge about them and not get comfortable. The Cowboys were on a tear earlier in the season before slipping up and stumbling a bit.

The Cowboys will have to play in the Wild Card round and it looks like they’ll face stiff competition from whichever team they face.
