LeBron James is making his first return back to face the Miami Heat since leaving to re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers this past offseason. He was welcomed back with a warm standing ovation, and the atmosphere hasn’t been nearly as hostile as many expected.
He has garnered even more attention due to limping back into the locker room after chasing a loose ball and hurdling the first row of fans.
It appeared that he was just fine after landing and jogging back toward his bench, but then he leaned over and asked to be taken out of the game. Cleveland fans can only hope that this isn’t serious, and that he is being bothered with nothing more than a strain or cramps.
More information will come available in the near future, but it isn’t likely that he is too seriously injured.
The fact that he was able to jog seemingly fine back towards his bench is an indication that it shouldn’t be anything more than a small strain or something along those lines. That being said, it is always a concern when a star player limps back to the locker room after a leg injury.
