The Oregon Ducks unveiled the Helmets they’ll wear in the Rose Bowl against the Florida State Seminoles and the matte finish looks sick.

When you think of the Oregon football program one of the first things that likely comes to mind is their uniforms and what seems like an endless supply of different combinations and color schemes.

So with the Ducks and Heisman Trophy winner, Marcus Mariota, preparing to take on the defending champion Seminoles in the Rose Bowl next week the school has unveiled perhaps their coolest look to date with this matte helmet.

That matte look is pretty sharp and that facemask looks downright beastly. Now, it’s not going to help them defend against Jameis Winston and Dalvin Cook or open up more room for Mariota to work his magic or Royce Freeman to find running room, but if you subscribe to the theory of, “if you look good, you play good” then the Ducks should play pretty darn well on Jan. 1 against the Noles.

You can see these helmets in action for ‘The Granddaddy of Them All’ next Thursday at 5:00 p.m. ET on ESPN with the winner taking on the winner of the Sugar Bowl matchup between Alabama and Ohio State in the national championship game in the first year of the College Football Playoff.

Let us know what you think of the helmets Oregon will be wearing for the Rose Bowl in the comments section below.

Do you like the matte finish? Would you have preferred a pre-existing helmet? Do you like the decals on the back?
