One of college football’s greatest rivalries has extended to the East-West Shrine game

Oklahoma vs. Texas is one of the greatest rivalries in college football. When some of their players got together to play in the East-West Shrine game, each side had a little fun with the other team’s logo.

It all got started when Oklahoma fullback Aaron Ripkowski took the Texas Longhorns decal and placed the horns upside down on the back of his helmet.

He wasn’t afraid to let Texas know what he thought of their program and probably many in Oklahoma feel the same way–and likewise from Texas back at Oklahoma.

So Ripkowski had his fun with the Longhorns logo, but Texas running back Malcome Brown would get revenge for the Longhorns.

Not to be outdone, Brown would place the Sooners logo upside down on his own helmet and would go as far as to scratch out the Oklahoma logo.

So Brown returned the favor much to the delight of Longhorns fans everywhere and the rivalry between the two schools is still alive and well.

This isn’t the first or last shot fired across the bow between the two schools, and as the years go on the rivalry only gets more intense.

One thing is sacred, however, you never desecrate the other team’s logo. It’s a classic case of what goes around comes around.
