The NFL is profiting off of their players’ fine worthy actions. This time Marshawn Lynch and his now signature crotch grab picture is being sold by the league.

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch has been involved in his own controversy despite everyone talking every angle surrounding the “DeflateGate”. Now it appears the league wants to profit off of Lynch’s fineable and penalty worthy offense of grabbing his crotch after scoring or getting a first down.

As ESPN.com’s Mike Sando discovered, Lynch’s crotch grab is apart of the Seahawks 2014 NFC Championship Collage. The full collage in better quality can be seen below and features other, less controversial pictures that highlight Seattle’s second-straight trip to the Super Bowl.

It’s baffling to me that the NFL will try to profit off of a player’s action that they’ve fined him for. Secondly, they made it known that Lynch will be penalized 15 yards for “crotch grabbing” during Super Bowl 49.

If his actions are that bad for the league and the game, then why is a picture of it included in a collage.

Well, probably because the NFL knows it has been talked about a lot and Lynch is well-known by Seahawks fans. Therefore, the fans will buy the collage for a cool $149.95 and fans can have a picture of their favorite Seahawks player grabbing their crotch.

Yet, this is sending the wrong message: We will punish the players and take their money, but we want the money from the fans too. Seems like a good way to run a business, but not a good way to run a league.

At the same time, Lynch doesn’t appear to care if the league fines him and don’t count it out of the question is he grabs his crotch during Super Bowl XLIX as Seattle looks to repeat as champions.

If Seattle does win a second-straight Super Bowl, maybe the league will include another crotch grab picture in their Super Bowl collage.
