Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Flip Saunders pushed his son and assistant coach away after picking up a technical foul against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Flip Saunders and the Minnesota Timberwolves simply aren’t a very good basketball team this season, and they fell to 7-37 with a 92-84 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.

It wasn’t a pretty game for the Timberwolves, but there was one fairly funny moment during the game. Saunders picked up a technical foul late in the third quarter, and proceeded to continue arguing with the referee. His son, Ryan, tried to pull him back what was promptly shoved away by his dad.

There aren’t always videos of a father shoving his son on the sidelines in an NBA game, but that was provided for us by the Saunders’. Needless to say, it was a funny moment and it would be interesting to hear their conversation about it after the game. Either way, the loss was embarrassing and just continued one of the worst seasons in the NBA.

Minnesota has a lot of talent on their roster with Andrew Wiggins to build around, and they are definitely headed in the right direction. After trading Kevin Love this past offseason, it was expected that the ‘Wolves would end up going through a bit of a down season. That has been the case, but if they remain true to their rebuilding process they will likely turn things around before too long.

Take a look at the shove between Flip and Ryan Saunders for yourself:
