Kim Kardashian previewed her Super Bowl commercial on Conan last night

I had already rolled my eyes before I even watched the commercial for T-Mobile because I heard it was to feature the princess of nothing, Kim Kardashian.

However, I was forced to watch it this morning and I was pleasantly surprised. As a man who strongly dislikes the hype and celebrity of Miss Kardashian, I was shocked to have laughed when I watched the commercial. It was excellent use of self awareness and sarcasm, and I for one enjoyed it.

There, I said it. Kim Kardashian has done something that I found entertaining. This hasn’t happened since her duet with crooner Ray J. The commercial has a somber melody playing through out, satirically resembling a concern or appeal commercial. The premise is that Kardashian is appealing to the public to “help save the data”, a promotion for T-Mobile’s new deal where your unused data carries over each month and adds up.

According to Miss Kardashian, if you save the data you will be able to see use the internet to see such important things as her outfits, her backhand, her vacations…and her outfits once more.

Though I won’t be rushing to T-Mobile to get this deal, I was entertained by their efforts and dare I say it, Kim Kardashian has gone up a notch in my book. That puts her at notch one. Here’s the full video.
