When he was just two weeks old, Nate Semmler’s leg was amputated because of a tumor. After years of struggling with getting Nate to wear his prosthetic leg, Semmler’s parents decided to design a leg with the thing Nate likes the most: the Seattle Seahawks and Richard Sherman, according an NBC News report.
When Sherman found out about his biggest fan all the way over in Idaho, Sherman invited him to a Seahawks practice earlier this season.
“You might be a bigger fan of me than I am,” Richard told Nate when they first met.

Because of some of the outlandish things he says or does in interviews, he’s often vilified by the media. After doing things like this, meeting with young fans, and all the advocacy he does in the Seattle area for cancer research, it’s hard to picture Sherman as a bad dude.
Not all NFL players do the things that he does for the community and for his fans.
