Joining the host, professional funny men Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart will compete in a lip-sync battle, which will likely be judged by the audience.
Fallon’s lip-sync battles have become legendary after featuring ridiculously good performances from the likes of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emma Stone, and even Stephen Merchant has been impressive.
Emma Stone’s lip-sync battle with Jimmy has more than 40 million views on YouTube.
If only Emma Stone were going to be there to defend her title… Maybe she will be?
Even without Emma Stone, I can guarantee this lip-sync battle is going to be hilarious and will likely have some crazy twist and turns because Jimmy Fallon has been hyping it up for weeks.
Could we possibly see some guest stars in some of the performances? Or, maybe a giant collaboration?
When Kevin Hart was on the show two weeks ago, he said he already knew what songs he was going to lip-sync, and Jimmy also knew what songs he would be lip-syncing.
I don’t think it will matter, though. Few can match the energy and laughs Will Ferrell brings to the stage. With weeks of practice, Ferrell is going to bring his ‘A’ game, no doubt.
You can catch the epic lip-sync battle on Feb. 1 after the Super Bowl, a special episode of Blacklist, and your local news. Because the scheduling gets backed up and kind of wonky with the Super Bowl, if you want to watch the show, make you stay up and start recording when it starts and don’t let your DVR record the wrong time frame. That’s been known to happen on occasion, and I’m speaking from experience here.
