Karlos Dansby believes Johnny Manziel can lead Browns to Super Bowl
By Evan Massey
Cleveland Browns linebacker Karlos Dansby believes that rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel can lead them to a Super Bowl win.
Johnny Manziel has been one of the most talked about names in the NFL all season long, and failed to live up to the hype that he had in the 2014 NFL Draft. The Browns ended up starting him in two games late in the season, but he failed to show much and has left major question marks surrounding the quarterback position in Cleveland.

There have been quite a few major critics surrounding Manziel following his rookie year, and there is a lot of doubt that he will ever be able to turn his career around and get it back on track.
That being said, veteran Browns’ linebacker Karlos Dansby believes that Manziel can lead them to a Super Bowl.
“Oh without a doubt,” Dansby said. “It’s gonna take a lot of sacrifices. Guys can’t have egos, you gotta check ’em at the door. We gotta … rally around each other and continue to fight for each other, just play lights-out football, and that’s what we’re gonna (have to do to get there).”
Throughout his rookie season, Manziel threw for just 175 yards, no touchdowns, and two interceptions. He did run in a 10-yard touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in a backup appearance, but there weren’t too many bright spots throughout the season for him.
At 22 years of age, Manziel has already received the tag of being a party animal without any maturity. That is a dangerous tag to receive for a quarterback hoping to become an NFL starter. Even during his college days, Manziel got into trouble off-the-field which was the main reason that he fell all the way to the 22nd overall pick.
It is good to hear one of his teammates come out in support of Manziel, and he is the type of veteran leader that could take the young quarterback under his wing moving forward.
Cleveland has another off-the-field nightmare in wide receiver Josh Gordon, and he could very well have his roster spot taken away next season after yet another failed drug test.
Manziel has all of the talent in the world to become a very good NFL quarterback, but he has to stay grounded and focus on his game. He needs to stay away from the parties and fame, and start working harder to reach his full potential.
All of that being said, not all hope is lost from the Browns’ organization in Manziel. He will need to step up in his second season and prove that he can stay out of trouble, but they still believe he has the talent to make things happen in the future.
