Marshawn Lynch could be fined for unauthorized ‘Beast Mode’ hat
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch could be fined for wearing an unauthorized “Beast Mode” cap during Super Bowl media day.
Marshawn Lynch plays by his own rules. Sure, his code might go against NFL policy from time to time, but that has not stopped that man known as “Beast Mode” before.

Well, now you can add another notch the to belt of controversy Lynch ever-so-proudly struts along his waist. Ahead of Sunday’s anticipated match up with the New England Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks running back appeared in a “Beast Mode” hat during Tuesday’s Super Bowl media day.
The problem is that it was apparently unauthorized and could very well lead to a fine per reports by ESPN’s own Adam Schefter and Darren Rovell on Twitter.
This odd behavior is nothing new for Lynch. His struggles with adhering to the league’s media interaction policy have been well document. Most recently, he answered virtually every question asked by reporters on Tuesday with the phrase “I’m here so I won’t get fined.”
Before that, Lynch had given several single phrase responses throughout the regular season. In fact, here are a few of his best highlights featured below.
“Yeah.” Lynch, not exactly a fan of the NFL press, has taken a different approach towards combating his tribulations with the league’s interaction requirements. Once known for denying access to himself altogether, he has now decided to have fun at the expense of seemingly willing reporters. Ironically, he is still making headlines with his simple responses.
As far as Lynch’s performance on the field this Sunday is concerned, he probably is more focused on getting ready than dealing with an impending fine courtesy of Mr. Goodell and company. He does, however, appreciate you asking about it.
