NBA announces Rising Stars Challenge rosters

The NBA has announced the rosters for the Rising Stars Challenge during All-Star Weekend


One of the events that everyone looks forward to during the NBA All-Star Weekend is the Rising Stars Challenge, where we get to see some of the best young talent the league has to offer battling it out on the court. On Wednesday, the rosters for the game were announced.

Now this year, things are going to be looking a bit different. The 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend will now see this Rising Stars Challenge Game be contested under a USA vs the World format, which should definitely make things interesting. Generally this game was strictly only first and second-year players, but this should make things a little more exciting.

Leading the USA All-Stars against the World is the 76ers’ dynamic guard Michael Carter-Williams, who has been the personification of a rising star his first few years in the league.

The World is led by Timberwolves rookie and Canadian product Andrew Wiggins whose averaging 15.2 points per game with 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists.

The 2015 Rising Stars Challenge will take place on Friday, Feb. 13 inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
