On Tuesday’s Media Day leading up to Super Bowl XLIX, Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett said the New England Patriots should stop having sex in order to save their energy.

And the Media Day star award goes to … Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett.

More from New England Patriots

The outspoken Bennett had so many juicy words to deliver during Tuesday’s pre-Super Bowl event that he should’ve lent a few to teammate and running back Marshawn Lynch, who is notorious for his rocky relationship with the media (Lynch answered every question at Media Day with, “I’m here so I won’t get fined”).

The sixth-year defensive end, on the other hand, turned to humor.

Talking dirt(y)

He said that New England Patriots should stop having sex in order to save their energy.

“It should be no sex for them starting today. They’re gonna need all the testosterone they can get,” Bennett responded.

Or maybe if they do, they should at least inflate their balls beforehand.

As for himself, Bennett said he’s even staying celibate for a few days.

“No sex on Wednesday. I save it all for Sunday after the game.”

The defensive star was full of sexual references during the Media Day press conference, which has been dubbed the “annual circus.”

For one, he finds Katy Perry attractive and thinks she has a good voice. But make no mistake, he thinks his wife’s booty is “the best of all-time.” And it’s an even marital matchup, since Bennett is the second-most handsome man in the world, behind Denzel. Objectively speaking, of course.

Race was not a hot-potato topic for him, either.

He seemed a little proud to have black reporters in Glendale, as there apparently aren’t that many back in Seattle.

Tom Brady is like Captain America

When the conversation finally turned to football, he compared New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers to Captain America. He said they’ve got the wits and game-time IQ, like the superhero before he received the growth hormone, but with plenty of the post-drug power. Brady, who Bennett will face this Sunday, has a great mental edge, which often gets overshadowed by athleticism.

Win or lose, keep an eye out for Bennett saddling up after the Super Bowl. In the NFC Championship celebration following the Seahawks’ victory over the Green Bay Packers, he rode a police bike around the field at CenturyLink Stadium. But now he’s looking to upgrade to a black Arabian horse that he can trot around the gridiron.

In short, Bennett’s Media Day was a refreshing ode to the death of political correctness.
