Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James (wrist) will play vs. Sacramento Kings
By Sam Richmond
Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James (wrist) is surprisingly returning to action on Friday night against the Sacramento Kings.
After missing the Cleveland Cavaliers’ previous game with a wrist injury, LeBron James is returning to the starting lineup Friday against the Sacramento Kings.
James’ availability was unexpected after the Cavs’ star was a limited participant in Friday’s morning shoot around and dubbed “doubtful” for the game.
Surprisingly, the Cavs did not miss James during his one-game absence. Without LeBron, the Cavaliers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 99-94 on Wednesday behind a 55-point performance from point guard Kyrie Irving.
Still, James’ return is a big boost for a Cavaliers team that is starting to find its form and on an eight-game winning streak. LeBron is averaging 26.4 points (49.2 percent shooting from the floor, 35.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc), 7.4 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game this season. Cleveland is 25-12 in games he has played in this season.
The Kings enter the game with a 16-28 record and in the midst of a seven-game losing streak. It sure won’t be easy to break that streak against the Cavs with LeBron in the lineup.
