NBA Player Rankings: James Harden pulls ahead of Steph Curry just after the midway point of the season

Well, well, well, looks like there’s a new sheriff in town!

James Harden finished off a week of stellar basketball that was just enough to pull ahead of Steph Curry for the top spot in the NBA player power rankings. It’s still a very close race, though, so there’s a ton of new information to discuss.

More from FanSided

Again, it was another huge week in the NBA. We saw two players go off for 50-plus points and a new league record set for scoring by one player in a quarter. WOW!

While that would have been a great week by itself, the All-Star teams are finally set for the Feb. 13-15 event hosted by, both, the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks.

In the East, Pau Gasol, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, John Wall, and Kyle Lowry were voted to start, while Jimmy Butler, Al Horford Paul Millsap, Chris Bosh, Kyrie Irving, Dwyane Wade, and Jeff Teague were selected to the team as reserves.

In the West, Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin, Anthony Davis, and Marc Gasol were voted in as the starters for the West, while LaMarcus Aldridge, Tim Duncan, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and James Harden were selected as reserves.

That’s enough chatter about the game that doesn’t matter for one day!

Let’s get to the important stuff, and find out who made the top 20 NBA Player Power Rankings this week.
