Rocker Andrew W.K. wants to play Killer BOB in the revived Twin Peaks
By Dan Selcke
Andrew W.K. tweeted a plea to David Lynch asking to play Killer BOB on the upcoming season of Twin Peaks
Next year, David Lynch’s cult TV series Twin Peaks will start airing new episodes a full 25 years after the original finale, a bizarre turn of events even for a guy like Lynch, whose life is basically one long procession of bizarre events.

Most members of the main cast are already confirmed as returning, including Kyle MacLachlan as Special Agent Dale Cooper, Sheryl Lee as poor, sad, wrapped-in-plastic Laura Palmer, and (probably) Sherilyn Fenn as precocious sexpot Audrey Horne.
One cast member who cannot return is Frank Silva as BOB, the malevolent spirit behind the murder that jump-started the show. Silva, a set dresser who famously stumbled into the role of BOB after Lynch saw him on set and thought, “That guy looks scary,” died in 1995.
It hasn’t been revealed how the show will handle his absence when it returns on Showtime, but rocker Andrew W.K. presented a possible solution with this Tweet:
Andrew W.K., known for singles like “Party Hard” and his irreverent TV appearances, was around 10 years old when Twin Peaks first aired, so he would have been at the right age for BOB’s murderous antics to scar him permanently. W.K. looks a little too cheerful in his Tweet to properly play BOB, but the cover for his first album did feature him looking straight at the camera while blood poured out his nose and over his chin, so he can get into the spirit of things. Plus, he’s already got that matted hair thing going. Throw in some crazy eyes and a jean jacket and he’s ready to go.
If it were anybody besides David Lynch, I would just write W.K.’s Tweet off as a joke that didn’t have any real chance of landing him the role. But again, this is Lynch, who is weird. The two are probably having a casting meeting right now.
