Trevor Lacey drills buzzer beater to beat Georgia Tech (Video)
Trevor Lacey hit a running three at the buzzer to lift North Carolina State over Georgia Tech
The North Carolina State Wolfpack desperately needed a win after dropping three straight games to keep their chance at a spot in the tournament. Down two and depending on a missed free throw with 4.9 seconds left, it appeared the Wolfpack would be heading to their fourth straight loss.

After Georgia Tech missed a free throw that would put them up three, the Wolfpack’s Cody Martin grabbed the rebound and fired the ball to Trevor Lacey.
Lacey would sprint up the court with time running out and fire up a three pointer at the buzzer with several Georgia Tech defenders leaping towards him.
The shot would hit nothing but net on the play and the Wolfpack would win 81-80 at the buzzer, as the team rushed to celebrate on the court.
It’s a big win for North Carolina State if they want to advance to March Madness. At 14-9, they still have a long ways to go, but it’s a lot better than where they would have stood at 13-10.
Even more incredible was the shot by Lacey who had enough time to sprint up the court and position himself for the big shot.
