The Seahawks’ cornerback was in visible anguish after his team’s fate was sealed

Richard Sherman was rarely targeted in Super Bowl XLIX and after Seattle took the lead, he was seen celebrating. After the incredible rally by the New England Patriots and the events that followed in the final minutes, Richard Sherman was in visible anguish after Russell Wilson threw an interception as the team was about to score.

Sherman’s reaction was crushing as his dream and the rest of the Seahawks came right to an end right as they had a chance to have a historic to drive to win their second consecutive Lombardi Trophy.

Sherman was almost in disbelief and shock at first and then his reaction turned to straight soul crushing defeat.

His reaction probably resembles that of many Seattle fans right now.

After Jermaine Kearse made the most incredible catch in Super Bowl history, the Patriots were stunned and it looked like the lucky bounce was heading Seattle’s way again.

After Malcom Butler made an incredible effort to break up that pass his efforts weren’t rewarded but then he redeemed himself with the game winning interception.

As for Sherman, his defense gave up a 10 point lead in the fourth, and most of all that will stick with him.
