Alex Rodriguez offered his apartment up to Yankees broadcaster John Sterling

Not all the Alex Rodriguez news is bad news these days
It goes without saying, pretty much, that you’d be hard-pressed to find a lot of people that are supportive of Alex Rodriguez as he gets set to make his return to the New York Yankees in 2015 following his year-long suspension. However, Yankees broadcaster John Sterling just happens to be one of the people that are rooting for A-Rod to succeed.
Now before some of you go ahead and blast Sterling for being a supporter, he has a pretty solid reason.
Last month Sterling’s house in New Jersey unfortunately burned down, and sadly it was one of those instances where he more or less lost everything. That is one of the worst spots that a human being can be put in.
Well during his time of need, Alex Rodriguez was one of the people that not only reached out to the longtime Yankees radio man, but he offered up his Manhattan apartment to his friend.
“We talked right after the fire. Alex felt terrible about it,” Sterling said via New York Daily News. “He offered me his place in Manhattan to stay in when this happened. I guess he was in Florida.”
After noting the unbelievable gesture, Sterling made it known that behind the microphone this year, he’ll be pulling for the returning A-Rod to succeed.
“I’m rooting for Alex,” Sterling said emphatically. “He’s a friend.”
Hey, you can’t blame Sterling here. People have a lot of negative opinions of A-Rod, but this gesture can’t be shot down.
