With the defense clamping down and the intensity ratcheted up, Cavaliers forward LeBron James somehow manages to drive the lane tonight at MSG.

I have an idea: can we not do it and say we did?

The NBA All-Star Game is one of those activities that should be talked about, built around, yet not played at all. Who wants to watch players waltz through the lane with no push-back? I’m better off playing NBA 2K15.

Early on at Madison Square Garden tonight, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James picked up an early throwdown:

Regardless of the legitimacy and laughable nature of the game itself, nobody can argue some of the remarkable plays we’ll see.

Alley-oops, no look passes, behind the back wizardry and god-awful (James Harden like) defense will be sure to continue.

As far as James’ early one-handed throw down is concerned, it’s nothing Madison Square Garden hasn’t seen this year. That lane is always void of defensive challengers a few nights a week.

We sit with a ridiculous score of 47-36 in favor of the West at the end of the first quarter.

Stay tuned, they’ll certainly be more horrid basketball to come tonight.
