The Houston Rockets’ Twitter account got into a battle with the Timberwolves’ account, and it was glorious

Last night, the Houston Rockets were playing the Minnesota Timberwolves when Ricky Rubio had his ankles destroyed by James Harden.

Impressive as that may be, what may be even more impressive is the exchange that resulted between the two teams’ Twitter accounts, in which the Rockets’ account claimed that Rubio “might be dead,” rendered Minnesota’s account speechless and generally won Twitter.

Here is the full exchange:

The Timberwolves account was rendered speechless. This may be more entertaining than the actual game was. Whoever runs the Rockets’ account deserves some sort of medal… what kind of medal do you give for being good at Twitter? Whatever it is, give it to him or her, because that was glorious. Actually, can we just give them a roster spot?

The Timberwolves’ actual basketball team later got Harden back with this move by Andrew Wiggins. So I guess it evened out in the Vine circuit, but the Twitter circuit belongs to the Rockets. Also, someone should keep track of these kinds of stats.
