Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been reinstated to the NFL, per the ruling of a judge

In maybe some news that people within the Minnesota Vikings organization did not want to hear on Thursday, running back Adrian Peterson’s suspension has been lifted per the request of the NFLPA and he is now once again a full-time member of the NFL.

Now, things will get rather interesting. Peterson was scheduled to be back on April 15, which gave the Vikings until that time to figure out what they can do with the star back. While they didn’t really stand with him all that much as he went through his legal issues with alleged child abuse, they’ve now expressed interest in keeping him with the team, as he is under contract with the organization for this season.

Well, the only problem there is that Peterson has reportedly expressed to the Vikings that, as part of putting this whole ordeal behind him, he would like a fresh start with a brand new team. It’s been rumored that he has asked for a trade to the Dallas Cowboys, however nothing has been confirmed in that regard just yet.

But, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said it best a few moments ago when he noted that the clock is now ticking on the Minnesota Vikings and what they can do with Adrian Peterson going forward.

Update: In an update to the ruling, it appears that Peterson is not yet reinstated, rather the judge merely threw the case back into the hands of the arbiter. Now, the NFL will review the ruling.
