The latest college basketball AP Poll was released on Monday, the first one as we move into the month of March

We have officially hit the month of March, which means that it’s time to really get excited about the sport of college basketball as one of the most entertaining tournaments in sports every year is about to take place. However, we are still in the regular season portion of the year, and with that being said, we have our first AP Poll for the month of March.

Monday afternoon the Week 17 AP Poll was released, and once again, to the shock of none, the Kentucky Wildcats are the unanimous No. 1 team in the country as they remain the only undefeated program in the country at this point. As of right now, it does indeed appear that Kentucky will be finishing this regular season campaign unbeaten.

The most notable movement we have at the front of the rankings this week is the Gonzaga Bulldogs dropping all the way down to No. 7 following their loss to BYU this past week. While the Bulldogs are in a good position still for the tournament, the loss was a bit of a setback in terms of potentially gaining a No. 1 seed in March Madness.
