Little league coach who first raised concerns about Jackie Robinson West arrested for disturbance

What kind of person blows the whistle after the fact on one of the greatest stories in little league baseball history? This kind of person.

"Evergreen Park Little League coach Chris Janes was arrested by Evergreen Park police on disorderly conduct, assault and public intoxication charges.Around 1 a.m., Janes allegedly approached a woman after she parked her car and chased her into her home. Police were called after Janes pounded on the door, began shouting and creating a disturbance."

Chris Janes is allegedly the type of role model for kids that goes out, gets drunk, approaches a woman in a parked car that he thinks he knows but doesn’t, then chases her into her home and bangs on the door when she doesn’t let him in. Fortunately she didn’t open the door and let him in, or this story could’ve been worse. I don’t want that guy coaching my kids.

For those that don’t remember, Jackie Robinson West was stripped of their Little League National Championship for taking kids from out of their own district. All the kids were of age, but they were not of boundaries. Janes coached neighboring Evergreen Park Little League and some of his better kids apparently ended up playing for Jackie Robinson West. This did not sit well with Janes so after the fact he called attention to the Jackie Robinson West roster, eventually leading to the title being stripped. What a guy.

I would understand before the season making a complaint, but who loses sleep at night over a little league team in a neighboring town having a once in a zillion lifetimes experience? Jackie Robinson West will never get their title back though they have appealed. What Janes gets, I’m still not sure.
