New York Giants are intrigued by Ndamukong Suh
By Ryan Ratty
Ndamukong Suh is on the New York Giants’ radar.
The New York Giants haven’t made the playoffs since 2011. Knowing that, it’s no surprise that the Giants are going to be active this NFL offseason to improve their roster. Last offseason, the Giants were one of the more active teams in free agency, however, a bevy of injuries and setbacks kept this team from reaching their full potential. In 2015, the Giants will be healthy again and they could very well have one of the best defensive tackles in all of football.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Giants are considering a run at Ndamukong Suh. After spending the first five years of his career with the Detroit Lions, Suh was not smacked with the franchise tag, which made him an unrestricted free agent. Suh is without a doubt one of the best defensive tackles in the game. He’s an absolute brick wall in the run game and he’s an impact pass-rusher in the passing game. Sure he has had a ton of problems with the NFL as he is known to hit low and make dirty plays, but the fact remains that Suh is one of the bests in the league and he makes the players around him better.
On Monday, the Giants placed their franchise tag on pass-rusher Jason Pierre-Paul. Although his production has varied year in and year out, when Pierre-Paul has something to prove, he’s at his best. That being said, if the Giants do bring in Suh, just imagine a defensive line consisting of Suh, Pierre-Paul, and even Cullen Jenkins. Suh is obviously a star and with Steve Spagnuolo coming back to New York to be the defensive coordinator, having a player like Suh would make things so much easier upfront for the Giants. It’s all speculation right now, but this has to make Giants fans everywhere happy.
