San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is training in Phoenix during the off-season and is showing off some impressive hops.

The San Francisco 49ers are having quite the off-season for all the wrong reasons. The team and their coach parted ways and several key players from their Super Bowl run either retired or left in free agency. Still, the team has their quarterback and he is training for a bounce-back 2015 season.

Kaepernick is training at the EXOS facility in Phoenix, where several athletes have trained before.

While training down in Phoenix, Kaepernick showed off what he can do on the basketball court.

In a video posted to his instagram account, Kaepernick threw down an impressive dunk that would be worthy of all dunk contests.

Kaepernick threw the ball up for a big bounce, caught the ball in the air and did a 180 degree slam.

It’s not noted if this was the first take or not, but that dunk alone would bring Kaepernick a solid score in the annual NBA Dunk Contest.

While the 49ers and Kaepernick struggled last year, the quarterback has impressive athletic talent and if he can bring it all together, then the 49ers might not be as bad off as everyone thinks.
