What five reasons can be given to prove that the Chicago Bulls are legitimate championship contenders this season?
The Chicago Bulls have gone through quite a few injury issues this season so far, but they are still 44-29 and are sitting in the third seed of the Eastern Conference standings. There are some who have have written them off with the play of the Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers, but they are still very much in the running for the NBA title.
Derrick Rose went down with yet another knee injury, this time tearing his meniscus once again. He is on the mend, however, and is expected to return before the end of the regular season.
Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah have also struggled with injury issues throughout the season, but they are back and ready to make a stretch run as the playoffs approach.
There is no doubt that they are going to end up with a top-five seed in the playoffs, and they are going to be a very difficult matchup for any team in a seven-game series. Chicago has quite a few critics to prove wrong, and at full health they are going to have a good chance to do just that.
