The Philadelphia Eagles have had a crazy offseason, and former wide receiver Jeremy Maclin says he still believes in their head coach Chip Kelly.

Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles have made some crazy moves this offseason. Some great, some very questionable, but Jeremy Maclin still believes in his former head coach.

It all started when they traded away their best player, running back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills for linebacker Kiko Alonso. The Eagles released veteran linebacker Trent Cole and wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and went on to sign former Seahawks cornerback Byron Maxwell and former Chargers running back Ryan Mathews.

After that, the Eagles traded away quarterback Nick Foles to the St. Louis Rams for quarterback Sam Bradford, who has missed time the past two years with a torn ACL.

Then, after already signing Mathews, the Eagles signed former Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray.

While many people have questioned Chip Kelly and the Eagles throughout the offseason for questionable moves, Jeremy Maclin who is now on the Kansas City Chiefs, still believes in his former head coach.

“I still believe in Chip,” Maclin said to the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I think Chip’s going to do great things here. I have the utmost respect for him. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get something worked out. But at the end of the day I’m very excited about playing for Kansas City and playing for Big Red.”

Maclin signed a big deal $55 million deal with the Chiefs that the Eagles couldn’t sign him to. Maclin’s belief in Chip Kelly is notable, considering there are little people who do other than nervous Eagles fans biting their finger nails.
