Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will star in Ludacris’ music video for the song “Beast Mode” based on Lynch.

Accomplished rapper and actor Ludacris came out with a song recently called “Beast Mode” based on Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who is known for his nickname “Beast Mode.”

Ludacris went on ESPN’s show His and Hers with Michael Smith and Jemele Hill earlier this week and talked all about Marshawn Lynch and admitted that the song was inspired by the running back.

“It was inspired by Marshawn Lynch,” Ludacris said. “The same way he’s plowing down people in the field, I’m plowing down people in the music industry and all these rappers… It’s a song that has no hook. It’s just like, three minutes of just metaphors and just going in.”

Marshawn Lynch is also starring in the music video that is expected to come out when Ludacris’ album Ludaversal drops March 31.

“We just shot the video with Marshawn, as a matter of fact,” Ludacris said. “I met him, and literally, within like two minutes, I felt like we were family. I don’t know what it is, he’s a real cool, real laid-back guy.”

Ludacris said that he also once asked Lynch why Pete Carroll didn’t call for a run when the Seahawks were on the 1-yard line in the Super Bowl in February against the New England Patriots and threw and interception.

“We riding in the car after we left the club together, and I’m like ‘So why didn’t they give you the damn ball?’” Ludacris said. “He was like ‘You know what? I don’t know, man. I don’t know why they didn’t. They should’ve gave me the ball.’”

He still doesn’t know why! But, the Seahawks were lucky to get Lynch back with a $5 million bonus after Lynch contemplated leaving the team or even retiring after Super Bowl XLIX.

Here’s Ludacris’ song “Beast Mode” with some NSFW lyrics.

According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Marshawn Lynch’s nickname isn’t just making an impact in the music industry, but also in the street drug industry because there was a strain of marijuana called, “Beast Mode O.G.” and it’s now changed to “Beast Mode 2.0” or “Beast Mode Blue Fire” which is interesting.

While there has been some questions about whether Marshawn Lynch smokes marijuana, celebrity rapper Snoop Dogg said that his friend Marshawn does not smoke weed. Snoop Dogg said that Marshawn doesn’t smoke and that Snoop does it for him.

“My homeboy got a career to play,” Snoop Dogg recently told TMZ, via seattlepi.com.  “He’s still in the NFL.  He’s got a Commissioner to deal with.  Somebody named it after him.”

We’ll likely continue to see Lynch’s name in the news as he’s gotten so popular in the marijuana industry, move industry and now the music industry.
