Updated NCAA Tournament Bracket: Louisville advances to Elite Eight

The Louisville Cardinals are a year removed from winning it all, and their another step closer to earning their crown back with a trip to the Elite Eight.

Louisville Cardinals fans are watching as their team attempts to make it back to the National Championship Game for the first time in a year. The last time the that Louisville was in the National Championship, they won it back in 2013 — but since then there has been another champion crowned and there will be eight hungry teams vying for the same crown by the end of the night.
Rick Pitino is headed back to the Elite Eight with Louisville and they’ll face a matchup against either Michigan State — a pseudo-Cinderella team — or the Oklahoma Sooners on Sunday night.

The NC State Wolfpack deserve a lot of credit, as they became a Cinderella team when they beat Villanova last weekend to bump off the first No. 1 seed in the tournament. But they weren’t enough for Louisville who torched them in the Sweet 16 and sent them packing. But you can’t hang your head low if you’re NC State, as the Wolfpack did damage in the NCAA Tournament and they had a season they should be proud of.
But it’s a season that is over, and the Louisville Cardinals have survived the Madness for another game, living on to fight in the Elite Eight on Sunday.
