Boston Celtics center Kelly Olynyk suffered a gruesome eye injury in shootaround.

The Boston Celtics are taking on the Indiana Pacers as they fight for their playoff lives Wednesday night. To make things a bit worse, their center, Kelly Olynyk, might have some impaired vision on the court tonight.

During shootaround before the game, Olynyk took an inadvertent elbow from teammate Shavlik Randolph right to the face.

Not only did Olynyk receive a black eye, but his eye nearly swelled all the way over.

It might be one of the most gruesome eye injuries ever seen on the court.

His eye looks like a giant bubble that is ready to be popped. On second thought, let’s not think about that.

Even more surprisingly, the injury came in shootaround, which is usually a very relaxed environment that teams go through before games.

However, this isn’t the first time an injury has occurred during shootaround, as Anthony Davis rolled his ankle during one for the Pelicans last month.

Luckily for the Celtics, Olynyk was able to take the court for the team as they try to grab one of the last playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.

Whether or not Olynyk can see properly is another story. In case you didn’t get a close enough look at his eye, here it is.
