The Duke Blue Devils downed the Wisconsin Badgers in the national championship game, and their championship rings have been revealed.

The Duke Blue Devils are on top of college basketball again, and Coach K has yet another ring to add to his collection. The catchphrase ‘One for the Thumb’ is owned by the NFL, but no one at Duke really cares as the school has now collected it’s fifth championship ring under Coach K and times are once again good for the Blue Devils.

It was a classic game in just about every way between the Blue Devils and Badgers. Wisconsin came up just short of winning their first title since 1941, and their grit throughout the tournament can’t be faulted. But the applause is much louder for the team that finishes in first place, and the swag is a lot heavier too.

Duke’s fifth championship ring in school history has been revealed, and it might be the coolest one of the bunch.

Mike Krzyzewski is a coaching legend — but you don’t have to tell that to anyone, we just all assume it at this point. If the legacy with USA Basketball wasn’t enough, and the success over the decades at Duke wasn’t enough, the five rings he has will no doubt convert anyone on the fence about Coach K.

He’s one ring shy of Michael Jordan’s NBA ring collection, and he’s halfway to catching John Wooden’s 10 national championships. He may not ever catch Wooden, but there is little doubt that Mike Krzyzewski is right underneath Wooden as the next best college basketball coach in the history of the game.
