Warriors guard Stephen Curry makes 77 straight threes in practice for a total of 94 out of 100.

If the NBA gave out an MVP award for practice performance, Stephen Curry would be the frontrunner.

At practice on Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors guard managed to drain 77 straight shots from behind the three point line, according to ESPN. Curry moved around the arc, taking shots from different spots on the floor, but nothing seems to phase him. According to Curry, Tuesday’s mark of 77 is the most that he’s ever made in a row.

Not only did he make 77 in a row, he connected on 94 out of the 100 shots his took during that practice session.

Basically, real-life Steph Curry is doing things not even video-game Steph Curry could do. It would be almost impossible to hit those numbers in NBA 2k15.

Even his teammates, who have seen him string together wild performances all year, were impressed with Tuesday’s practice session. Klay Thompson, Warriors teammate and the second leading three point scorer in the NBA, said that Curry’s 77 straight destroyed his personal record. Thompson’s longest streak is 36. He may have to keep practicing if he ever wants to beat Curry’s.

Two years ago, Curry made 23 straight three pointers in practice, which, at the time, we thought was impressive. He’s clearly improving. I guess practice does make (nearly) perfect.

Curry, who already has a strong case for the league MVP, seems to be hitting his shooting stride at just the right time. This year he managed to surpass the record for three-pointers made in a season – which he held himself. He currently sits at 284 for the year, an average of 3.6 per game. For his career, Curry has made 1,189 threes in just 415 games.

The Warriors will host the Denver Nuggets tonight for their final regular season game before starting the playoffs. The Warriors, who have lost only 15 games this season and locked up a one seed in the Western Conference, have a real shot at winning it all. Especially if Curry can’t miss.
