The 2015 NBA playoffs are getting underway, but how will the bottom four teams in the Eastern Conference playoffs do?

The Eastern Conference has suffered kind of a down year in 2015. With the Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks being the only two truly dominant teams down the stretch, many people think the Western Conference is not only better, but the team coming out of the West is better equipped to win the NBA Finals.

The difference between the two conferences is seen in the bottom half of each respective conference’s playoff bracket. While the Western Conference had an epic fight till the end to see who would snag the no. 8 seed between the Thunder and Pelicans, the East had a contest of basically who could lose less rather than win more.

Once the playoffs hit, the regular season record is out the window. It doesn’t matter that two of the teams in the Eastern Conference playoffs have below .500 records. Nor does it matter that at one point it seemed the Brooklyn Nets were going to try and tank. What does matter is which teams are more prepared to win basketball games in a seven game series.

So while most of the teams at the lower half of the standings in the Eastern Conference may have had a rough season. Some of them stand a better chance than people give them credit for.

So here are how the bottom four seeds in the East are going to fare in this year’s first round.
