There has never been a doubt in anyone’s mind that the Ohio State Buckeyes have one of the more loyal fan bases in all of college football. Now when you win a national championship in pretty impressive fashion and return a lot of your key players the following season, people tend to get a little more loyal.

Well, what happened at the Ohio State spring game on Saturday takes loyalty to a whole new level.

The Buckeyes took the field on Saturday inside Ohio Stadium, and when they did so, they took the field in front of well over 99,000 happy fans decked in scarlet and grey.

Now that number is just flat out insane. Throughout the years, especially more recently, we have seen a lot of fans head out to spring games. However, nearly hitting 100,000 is something to be damn proud of.

But there is a lot to be interested in when it comes to this Ohio State team. Aside from the fact that they are the defending national champs, there is the well-publicized quarterback battle set to take place. And while neither J.T. Barrett nor Braxton Miller played on Saturday, there was still a lot of interest in seeing how Cardale Jones performed, the man that led the Buckeyes to the title last season.

Whatever the case, a lot of Ohio State fans had themselves a good time in Columbus on Saturday afternoon.
